It’s super awkward reading academic sociological papers about how genuine, lasting relationships cannot be formed through online communities when I have personally made a number of genuine, lasting relationships through online communities, and in fact, count as some of my best friends a few people whom I’ve never even seen in person.
Like I really want to just show up at the department of sociology of Baylor University and find Drs. Driskell and Lyon and be like NOPE WRONG SORRY
