One of my hobbies is tracking new state and federal bills to see what’s going on. Just saw this gem:
H.R.1122 - To amend the General Education Provisions Act to prohibit Federal education funding for elementary schools and secondary schools that provide on-campus access to abortion providers.
Come on, Rep. Neugebauer (R-TX), how many K12 schools provide abortions on their premises? Can’t we find something more worthwhile to pass bills about?
Update: APPARENTLY this actually means that volunteers from Planned Parenthood and stuff who might’ve previously come into schools to supplement sex-ed programs with something other than abstinence-only would no longer be allowed. Well fuck that.
