Oh I must have missed something on that article then! English is not my first language and sometimes I miss points (also, I usually read pretty fast which can lead to missing some things!). On a completely different matter, I don't like how rape victims are treated, like they are completely destroyed and such. I was a rape victim, and I'd rather think of myself as a strong survivor. I don't say rape is not awful, but that victims must be strong, because they deserve to survive and overcome it.

I agree that we shouldn’t treat rape victims as though they’re completely destroyed, but I also dislike the idea that they ought to “pick themselves up” and “just be strong” because for some people, rape is very traumatic and ultimately harmful. Everyone gets to deal and process it on their own terms. If someone feels more like a victim than a survivor, it’s not my place to judge or blame. They have the right to their feelings.
